"USUAL SUSPECTS" by Bryan Singer
Made from 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot, it has been aged in new barrels for 14 months. The 2012 vintage is from a notably wet and cool year. While it required significant expertise to manage the quality of the wine under these conditions, these factors add to the wine’s flavors. The result is a smooth wine with a modest sensibility due to light tannins.
The grapes are grown from old vines in the Médrac, part of the Grand Poujeaux hill. This location is well known for its “Gunz Graves”, which provide ideal deep soil and filtration. There are 3640 vines per acre.
